||Ringo Starr was in great form while in Ft Lauderdale for two nights, playing Beatles and solo songs, plus pounding out the hits of his All Starrs, who´ve been with him since 2012.
As usual, Ringo gave the audience lots of "Peace and Love", and two hours of non-stop hit songs, leading off his set with the Carl Perkins number "Matchbox", which he introduced in 2012.
Beatle Brunch listener and Beatle fan, Meagan Pease was in attendance on the second night, and emailed her impression of the show to us:
"it was an awesome concert, really exciting show that Ringo put on. So happy that he´s still performing at the age of 77. The Parker Playhouse was fully packed and seemed to be a a sold out show."
"Ringo sang songs from The Beatles to his solo career, opening with Matchbox. He gave his shout-out of Peace and Love throughout the evening, even ending on John Lennon´s "Give Peace a Chance".
Ringo was joined by his "favorite All Starr Band", he´s told us: Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie of Santana and Journey fame, Steve Lukather from Toto, Richard Page from Mr Mister, along with Warren Ham, and Gregg Bissonette. All were in great form, still rockin´ and rollin, and Ringo dancing, singing and playing drums. The audience was on their feet, having a blast", she told us.
Based on the setlist below, Ringo seemed to ignore the songs from his NEW CD, "Give More Love"
