Ringo to Tour in 2020 11/4/2019
RingoStarr.com / Rolling Stone
Ringo Starr has rolled out the dates for a 2020 tour with his All Starr Band. It kicks off May 29th at the Casino Rama in Ontario and wraps up June 28th at the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida.

Once again, the group will feature long-time members Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Gregg Rolie. Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette and Hamish Stuart.

Last month, Ringo released a new solo album What’s My Name. The title track written by All Starr member Colin Hay. The new CD also includes a cover of John Lennon’s “Grow Old With Me,” the 1959 Motown classic “Money (That’s What I Want),” which the Beatles cut in 1963. Ringo´s version is laden with vocal tuning magic. Speaking of which, “Magic,” is another new song that Starr wrote with Toto’s Steve Lukather.

Earlier this year, Ringo celebrated the 30th anniversary of his All Starr Band with a special show at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles where many former members of the group joined the stage for the encore of “With a Little Help From My Friends.” The band has seen many lineup changes since the first tour in 1989, but the criteria for joining has been the same from the very beginning. Each All Starr must have at least three hit songs of their own and be capable of backing Starr on his own catalog of Beatles and solo classics. Ringo has always called the All Starrs, "The best 1-800 band on the planet.
